Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton holds on to a 6-point lead over Republican rival Donald Trump, according to the latest NBC News/Survey Monkey poll.
The online poll, conducted Aug. 29 - Sept. 4, finds:
- Clinton: 48 percent;
- Trump: 42 percent.
That result is the same margin of victory for Clinton as in last week's NBC News/Survey Monkey poll.
A different poll question added Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson and Green Party candidate Jill Stein as options for voters. Clinton remained in the lead, but by a smaller margin.
- Clinton: 41 percent;
- Trump: 37 percent;
- Johnson: 12 percent;
- Stein: 4 percent.
The poll's geographical breakdown showed that Clinton is doing well among voters in the Northeast and West, holding 16-point leads in both regions.
Trump is doing better with voters in the Midwest and South regions. The GOP nominee is tied with Clinton in the Midwest, which includes the battleground states Ohio and Iowa. In the South, Trump has a 1-point lead.
On Aug. 8, CNN's tally of six major polls put Clinton ahead of Trump by 10 points.
