With just five days until the election, Hillary Clinton's lead over Donald Trump has fallen to 3 points, according to the latest New York Times/CBS News poll released Thursday.

Clinton's lead was 9 points in the Times/CBS poll on Oct. 19.

The results:

  • Clinton: 45 percent.
  • Trump: 42 percent.
  • Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson: 5 percent.
  • Green Party nominee Jill Stein: 4 percent.

Clinton's lead is within the poll's 3-point margin of error.

According to the poll, nearly 20 percent of the 1,333 surveyed had already voted, and less than 10 percent said they could still change their mind for whom they would vote.

Six in 10 voters say the latest revelations about each candidate — Trump's lewd comments and sexual harassment allegations; Clinton's latest email probe — would not affect how they vote.

However, about 40 percent of likely voters said Trump's behavior toward women made them less likely to vote for him while about 30 percent said the latest FBI probe would have the same effect, according to the poll.

The nationwide poll was conducted with 1,333 registered voters from Oct. 28 to Nov. 1 on cell phones and landlines. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points for all voters.
