Despite a relentless pounding by Republican establishment forces determined to knock him out of the race, Donald Trump still holds a double-digit lead over both his rivals for the GOP presidential nomination, a new

- Donald Trump: 43 percent
- Sen. Ted Cruz: 28 percent
- Ohio Gov. John Kasich: 21 percent
Rasmussen also found that following Trump's latest round of primary wins on Tuesday, increasing numbers of Republicans believe the billionaire developer will be their party's nominee this fall.
In other results:
- Trump leads among both male and female Republicans.
- Those 40 and over support Trump more strongly than younger voters do. Among voters under 40, he posts just a 6-point lead over Cruz.
