After Hillary Clinton condemned an 11-year-old video in which Donald Trump said lewd and sexual comments about women, Trump countered back by calling her an "enabler" who allowed her husband, former President Bill Clinton, to sexually assault women for years.
According to a Rasmussen Report poll released Thursday, likely U.S. voters agree that Bill Clinton's behavior towards women is worse than Trump's.
The results:
- Bill Clinton is worse than Trump, 43 percent;
- Trump is worse than Bill Clinton, 28 percent;
- 26 percent say the behavior of both men is about the same;
When you break down the numbers by party affiliation, the poll shows:
- 89 percent of Trump supporters believe the allegations against Clinton are worse;
- 61 percent of Hillary Clinton supporters believe the allegations against Trump are worse;
- One-in-three Hillary Clinton supporters rate Trump and Bill Clinton about the same, 32 percent;
According to Rasmussen, the survey was taken prior to the latest New York Times article revealing new allegations against Trump of sexual harassment.
Trump has since took to Twitter denying the accusations and has requested the newspaper to apologize for the "libelous article."
The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted on Oct. 10-11, 2016 by Rasmussen Reports. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.
