Rasmussen: Most See Voter Fraud as Serious Problem

Donald Trump's accusations of voter fraud have caught on with many voters, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll released Monday.

The majority of likely voters think voter fraud is a serious problem in America today, with the results showing:

• Very serious: 32 percent;
• Somewhat serious: 26 percent;
• Not very serious: 17 percent;
• Not at all serious: 22 percent;
• Not sure: 4 percent.

Additionally, most voters think the candidates should wait until the results of the election are final before announcing that they will accept them.

• Accept before results are announced: 32 percent;
• Wait until results are final: 60 percent;
• Not sure: 8 percent.

Indiana State Police Superintendent Douglas Carter recently suggested that investigators had discovered several cases of voter fraud in the state.

Earlier in October, state police searched the office of Patriot Majority USA, a liberal group that works to register black voters, according to The Washington Post.

The group quickly accused Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, Trump's running mate, of voter suppression.

"While the investigation is still on-going, I can tell you at this time there are more than 300 copies of voter application forms that fall within the categories of being fraudulent or forged," Captain David Bursten, Indiana State Police spokesman, wrote to the Post in an email.

"It will be many more weeks before this investigation is concluded and submitted to various county prosecutors for their review and action as they deem appropriate," he added.
