Former New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said he'd be happy to provide advice to Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton just as he is Republican front-runner Donald Trump,  but he doesn't believe she'd take it.

Why? Because he'd tell her to do the opposite of everything she's now doing, Giuliani said Tuesday on Fox News Channel's "The O'Reilly Factor."

Giuliani has known both Trump, the billionaire Manhattan real estate developer, and Clinton, the former senator from New York, for years, and said Clinton did call him for advice "several times" when she was in the Senate.

But he isn't waiting for the phone to ring as she seeks the presidential nomination.

"I think she thinks we are [holding] such different political positions," he told host Bill O'Reilly.

"I liked her, and I like Bill," Giuliani said of the former president, but added Hillary Clinton will not be seeking his counsel.

"I would give her just the opposite advice of everything she is doing," he said. "Donald and I probably agree on 80 percent of the things. … And my rule, I worked for President Reagan: My 80 percent friend is not my 20 percent enemy. So we can disagree on 20 percent."

The former mayor said he will support "Trump for sure" in a Trump-Clinton matchup and believes Trump will come out the victor.

"Because I think if he gets the nomination there is something going on here, some magic going on here that none of us have gotten from the very beginning," he said. "If he gets the nomination, there is something going on that he caught that nobody else caught. Because six months ago, everybody was waiting for him to implode."

"Not me," O'Reilly said.

"Not me either, " Giuliani agreed.
