You'd think Republican House Speaker Paul Ryan, one of the GOP's most powerful figures, would know exactly where he stands in his often-frosty relationship with Donald Trump.
"Heck if I know!" Ryan said, admitting he's as clueless as to what's going on in the Republican presidential nominee's head as anybody.
As news surfaced Friday that Trump may finally endorse Ryan in his run for reelection in Wisconsin after he first made waves by refusing to, talk show host Jay Weber of WISN Radio asked:
"Is this silly endorsement flap over? Does Trump's non-endorsement jab signify some lingering resentment or divide between the two of you?"
Ryan replied: "Heck if I know! I'm not going to try to psychoanalyze this stuff, Jay. You know, I'm just going to rise above this stuff ...
"I'm not going to get involved in a petty back and forth. I see no purpose in doing that."
