Rep. Stockman Walks Out on SOTU, Says Obama Abuses Power

Republican Rep. Steve Stockman walked out on President Barack Obama's State of the Union Address on Tuesday evening, his Twitter posts say.




The tea party favorite from Texas, who plans to challenge Sen. John Cornyn in the GOP primary,  said the president had violated his oath of office by "enacting his own brand of law through executive decree."

Saying he was "deeply disappointed" by the tone of the president's remarks, Stockman tweeted that Obama was asking people to "double down on the bitter class warfare that has left Americans jobless and hopeless."
