Cruz Slams Trump in 'New York Values' Attack Ad

Texas Sen. Ted Cruz launched a 30-second ad in Iowa Monday dubbed "New York Values" attacking billionaire Donald Trump, his chief rival for the Republican presidential nomination.

The television ad utilizes footage of Trump's October 1999 interview on "Meet The Press" in which Trump where he declares himself to be "pro-choice in every respect."

 

It also features a clip of Trump, who leads Cruz in polls ahead of the Feb. 1 Iowa caucuses, at a November rally and asking the crowd, "How stupid are the people of Iowa?"

A female narrator concludes the spot, saying, "Donald Trump: New York values, not ours."
