Donald Trump fired a shot across the bow at both rival Hillary Clinton and his billionaire nemesis, Mark Cuban, on Twitter Saturday afternoon, threatening to put Gennifer Flowers next to Cuban at Monday night's presidential debate if he indeed ends up sitting in the front row at the event.
Trump initially posted an early tweet with his threat, but pulled it down because he'd incorrectly spelled Flowers' first name as "Jennifer." Flowers' name became well known in the 1990s, after former President Bill Clinton admitted under oath in 1998 that he'd had a sexual affair with her.
Cuban, replying to the initial tweet, responded:
On Thursday, Cuban, the billionaire owner of the Dallas Mavericks and host of CNBC's "Shark Tank," boasted that Hillary Clinton had given him a front-row seat at Monday's debate, which the Clinton camp confirmed to CNN.
Cuban initially had supported Trump, but this summer announced during a speech in his hometown in Pittsburgh that he would back Clinton, calling Trump a "jagoff," a Pittsburgh slang term describing a "a stupid, irritating, or contemptible person."
A Clinton aide told CNN Cuban was not only invited by the Clinton campaign, but "he has the best seat we have access to."
Cuban has taunted Trump repeatedly this summer, most recently offering to pay his favorite charity $10 million if the GOP would sit with him for a one-on-one interview and release and discuss his income tax return.
There has been much speculation over whether Trump would try to rattle Clinton in the debate by bringing up the names of Flowers, Monica Lewinsky and Juanita Broaddrick when he is face-to-face with her, reports The Hill.
Trump, though, told Fox News' Bill O'Reilly that he is "certainly not looking" to bring up the couple's marriage, but said his debate strategy all "depends on what level she hits you with, if she's fair, if it's unfair."
