Donald Trump Jr. says his father's supporters should concentrate on the issues of the 2016 presidential campaign and not his "potty mouth," The Charlotte Observer reports.
The oldest son of the billionaire real-estate tycoon made the plea Thursday morning before a crowd of about 150 Trump supporters in Mooresville, North Carolina.
Trump Jr.'s pitch came as his father's treatment of women has come under intense scrutiny.
In the past week, a 2005 tape was released in which the elder Trump talked about groping women. And over the last 24 hours, several women have accused Trump of unwanted sexual contact — charges he has vehemently denied.
His visit comes one day before the GOP presidential candidate is scheduled to hold campaign rallies in Greensboro and Charlotte.
