Trump Sends First Tweet as President-Elect

Donald Trump took to his favorite social media platform before 7 a.m. Wednesday to send his first tweet to his 13.6 million followers as president-elect.

 

 

Trump's Twitter bio also had been updated to describe him as "President-elect of the United States."

When the real estate developer-turned-commander becomes president, he will assume the @POTUS twitter handle, which currently has fewer followers, just 11.4 million.
