Early voting has started in some states, but Donald Trump in a Tuesday speech called on voters to turn out almost a month after the Nov. 8 general Election Day to cast their ballots.
"There's never been anything like this, so go and register," the GOP presidential nominee told supporters during a rally in Panama City, Florida, reports Politico.
"Make sure you get out and vote, November 28."
The Trump campaign has made a recent effort to inform voters in battleground states, like Florida, of their voter registration deadlines.
On Monday, a federal court extended the state's voter registration deadline, which would have fallen on that day, to 5 p.m. Wednesday because of Hurricane Matthew's interrupting last-minute signups, reports CNN.
Republican Gov. Rick Scott opposed the extension, saying as the hurricane was coming that people had had enough time to vote, but the Florida Democratic Party sued, saying that since Scott "unambiguously ordered" citizens to evacuate, and some were not able to meet Tuesday's registration deadline.
