Con Mac, a South Florida woman who just celebrated her 104th birthday, says the secret to long life is pretty simple: Exercise, eat a healthy diet, and pray every day.
Mac is a regular fixture at the YMCA in Weston, Fla., attending Silver Sneakers cardio classes every day, along with her daughter. This week, the Y helped her celebrate 104 years of life,
CBS News reports.
Mac came to the United States in 1975 from Vietnam. As a widow, she raised her two children on her own — something she says helped her stay healthy and live longer.
Her daughter, Bich-De Lu, says Mac — a strict vegetarian — lives longer because she knows how to relax. Her favorite pastime is to meditate and to pray — a lesson she taught her children.
“She is just an amazing woman. I can’t believe that she is turning 104 and I just think that she’s probably the most amazing people I know,” said her great-granddaughter, Kristy Nguyen.
