OK! The president said he was sorry that some people lost their health insurance coverage. But he did not say he was sorry that he lied about people being able to keep their plans and doctors.
He also did not say what people should do when they are caught in the Obamacare gap between what they had and what they can't yet get from an Obamacare exchange — since the federal exchange is not quite working as expected.
President Obama and his Democrat supporters keep talking about how Obamacare is making it possible for people to get health insurance who could not afford it before, or how those who have serious health conditions can now get insured whereas they could not before Obamacare.
But what about the people who had coverage and now can't get it, or the people who have serious medical conditions and can't get their treatment covered by the health insurance they lost?
Millions of people with health insurance coverage are screaming "nein, nein, nein," which is German for no, no, no! They are saying no to Obamacare, no to a government takeover of their healthcare decisions, and no to the Scripted Acts of Deception (S.A.D.), which we call lies.
For the relatively few people who are able to survive the Healthcare.gov gauntlet and get a "new and improved" plan as defined by Obamacare, it's costing more rather than less with a (surprise!) higher deductible amount. President Obama, Harry Reid, and the Democrats are saying "get over it" because it’s a better deal. Really!
Another annoying little detail for Democrats is that you can't keep the doctors or hospitals you prefer, as they promised when they were trying to pass this train wreck. It's because those doctors and hospitals will not accept "minimum wage" reimbursements for their services.
But wait! I thought the Democrats want to raise the minimum wage. They do, but not for the people who save our lives when we get seriously ill. People with maximum skills from years of education and training should get "minimum wages," while people with minimum skills and no training should get "maximum wages." Brilliant! Only a deranged liberal could come up with such a concept.
People on Main Street USA are saying no to losing their right to make decisions about their health insurance, their healthcare, and their money.
People — some people — are saying no, we are not stupid. The lies about what was promised and what's in Obamacare can't be covered up with more lies.
The solution to this train wreck is to replace Obamacare with a real affordable care act. The best alternative on the table that Democrats and liberals ignore is H.R. 2300, sponsored by U.S. Rep. Tom Price, R-Ga. It encourages competition, which brings costs down, and puts healthcare decisions back in the hands of us.
H.R. 2300 allows us to keep our insurance plans or get new ones if we want to do so, keep our doctors and hospitals, and choose our deductible amounts to keep premiums low. They want choices they can call "mine, mine, mine".
It gives healthcare and cost choices back to the people who are spending their money for their health. That's why it is also called the "Empowering Patients First Act", which was authored by a doctor. Wow! What a novel idea!
The "Empowering Patients First Act" is not a lie. That's another novel idea.
