Gallup: Tea Party Ties Obama in Leadership

Voters in a new Gallup survey are nearly split over who should lead the country: President Obama or the incoming Tea Party Republicans. The Hill, citing Gallup, reported 28 percent of those surveyed picked Obama as their choice to lead while 27 percent favored the new Tea Party caucus in Congress.

gallup,tea,party,obamaMore voters chose Republicans than Democrats, by 49 percent to 41 percent, when asked which party should have more influence over the country's direction. The Gallup poll also showed independents continue to favor the Tea Party over Obama or established Republican leaders.
