Heath Evans - Biography

Heath Evans is an 11-year NFL veteran  and is currently the starting fullback for the New Orleans Saints.  He helped his team claim its first Super Bowl title in franchise history. Evans can often be heard on ESPN Radio and blogs for radios' websites. He drew raves reviews after he debated — and beat — Skip Bayless on ESPN's "First Take." He's also appeared on ESPN Sports Nation and is often called upon to opine about his beloved Auburn football team on Tiger broadcasts.

Evans is also founder of the Heath Evans Foundation. Through Christian counseling and intervention, the foundation is dedicated to fostering hope and healing in the lives of children and families affected by sexual abuse.

Never afraid to voice his opinion whether he's talking football or faith, Evans is renowned for his oratory skills around the country. He wowed attendees at the Fellowship of Christian Athletes Sugar Bowl breakfast and speaks at Common Ground, a weekly worship gathering run by the New Orleans Baptist Collegiate Ministry. He also spoke from the heart in a public service announcement promoting parenting for The Gathering. Heath's outstanding character, commitment, and leadership in the community earned him the 2010 Athletes in Action's "Call to Courage Award," presented by the Pro Sports Ministry.
