James Walsh - Biography
James H. Walsh brings an in-depth perspective on immigration-related issues to Newsmax.
With an A.B. in history from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Ala., and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., Walsh began his legal career as a law clerk for a federal judge in Florida. He then served as an assistant U.S. attorney in the Middle District of Florida and as a trial attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice Organized Crime Section.
Walsh was associate general counsel with the U.S. Department of Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service from 1983-1994, dealing with foreign and domestic government and non-government agencies as well as litigating major immigration cases. His work took him frequently to Mexico and Canada.
