Rebuilding America: The Sword and Trowel

Rebuilding America: The Sword and Trowel

Conservatism has always been both beautifully simple and complex. Conservatives stand in simple allegiance to protect and build upon what is good, true and enduring. We understand the simple truth that a smaller government is here to serve us. A hundred million people died under myriads of failed experiments in the name of the opposite philosophy.

Conservative litmus tests to this day yield remarkable results. These matters remain worthy of staking our lives, fortune and sacred honor. America falls within a highly fortunate political “Goldilocks Zone” of freedom, security and prosperity for over 244 divinely blessed years.

Conservatives, irrespective of daily challenges, live lives of respect and gratitude. The nearly 77% of Americans with religious beliefs tangibly sense otherworldly support, grace and God standing behind our fair country. He stands with America in one hand and against evil globally. When we rise to our higher natures, do our part and stand up for good, miracles seem possible.

Our American story has reached May 2021. We are beginning to rebuild as COVID is finally ending. As the China virus loses its grip on most of us, we observe socialists, communists, corporatists, plutocrats and progressives gnash their teeth. They pull their hair out trying to squeeze every last ounce of the ultra-addictive high of nearly unlimited pandemic political power and comprehensive governmental control.

China, the CDC, the WHO, the Biden administration, Big Pharma and progressives feel their collective demon-like grip over our citizenry weakening. We are barely averting going over the ledge into the great reset and imposed new normal. In these times, the need for the true simplicity of conservatism has never been greater. Simple daily choices await. What is good and true before COVID must be rebuilt. What is not should not.

As we rebuild and return to everyday lives, center and right-leaning Americans are attacked or diminished when they challenge post-pandemic policies that power-hungry progressives want to preserve. These policies include perpetual unemployment, mandatory COVID vaccinations, endless mask mandates, funding the 1619 and Lincoln Projects, critical race theory, cancel culture, anti-Israel antagonism, the Green New Deal, open borders and federalizing elections through HR-1.

The left and its consequence culture thugs have fast easy answers for these aforementioned issues. Upon being challenged, liberals lambast conservatives as unintelligent or ill-informed. Leftists claim a complex moral high road supported by a woke modernistic moral relativism and superior elitist intellectualism. Fortunately for Americans, none of these rationales effectively carry the day. What’s good and true remains so.

We know well what is next. When the standard progressive playbook fails, leftists quickly shift to calling all rational opposition racists, white supremacists, Trump conspiracy seditionists or super-spreaders. Progressives blast out alternative facts via social and mainstream media, obfuscating true information. Twenty-four hours later, as most busy Americans focus on recovery, protests are often flushed and cycled into the sea of media oblivion. Many Americans finally see this clearly now.

The willful blindness cast by those simply longing to be left alone must be rejected. This 16-month COVID crisis must not dull our senses.

Conservatives can take biblical guidance during these times of rebuilding America from the tale of the Sword and Trowel within the Book of Nehemiah.

After the destruction of the wall in Jerusalem, the people of Judah decided to rebuild by parsing tasks among various families and tribes. Upon finally gaining the officials’ blessing to commence rebuilding, they were besieged with verbal attacks, discouragement and even violence and threats.

People had grown accustomed to their position of weakness. For the Jews to return to being more powerful and protected by their own volition, they had to threaten the new normal of their day. The initial outrage was so great they feared for their lives. To successfully rebuild, the people of Judah had to carry both a sword and trowel until the wall was rebuilt. Standing fierce, they restored their wall, their dignity and the strength of their national identity, faith and people.

For conservatives, the lesson is simple. We are here again in front of our damaged walls and must work hard until all is properly restored.

To rebuild America is both simple and complex. Conservatives must remain steadfast and vigilant. Leftists will demand we forget, move past and comply with the new normal. Their demands are precisely what must be rebuked, investigated further into. Our beliefs must be defended and protected until we are in control again.

In the spiritual battle for America’s soul, conservatives with our sword and trowel must protect her and never relent until she is restored.
