Can MAGA Repair Broken Border, Economy, and Justice System?

If elected, Trump and his Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement will have their hands very full restoring the country from catastrophic Biden administration and Democratic Senate wreckage.

If not victorious, bid tragic farewell to foundational values, opportunities, and institutions of a great nation we once took for granted.

A hyper dramatic exaggeration of what’s at stake in November of this year?

Please bear with me for a couple of minutes here before you decide.

National Sovereignty and Security at Our Southern Border

Article IV, Section 4 of the Constitution, also known as the “guarantee clause,” states this case very clearly:

"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them from Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic violence."

The Biden insecure border policy is also at odds with the 1965 Immigration and Nationality Act whereupon Congress sets priorities and annual limits on authorized numbers of legal immigrants with favorable priority consideration to "those who can contribute most to this country — to its growth, to its strength, to its spirit" creating a preference system that focused on immigrants' skills and family relations with citizens or U.S. residents.

Nevertheless, the de facto open U.S. southern border with Mexico is the scene of a true invasion of unvetted people, sex traffickers, prospective terrorists, and deadly narcotics, most particularly fentanyl.

More than 10 million people — totaling more than the individual populations of 41 states — have been reported illegally entering the U.S. since President Joe Biden took office in January of 2021, including about 1,300 individuals on terrorist watch lists.

Not included are an estimated 1.8 million unknown background “gotaways,” many of whom transported narcotics.

An estimated 127,000 Americans died of fentanyl in 2020-21 alone, nearly three-times as many casualties as soldiers lost in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan combined.

Once intentionally allowed entry and provided taxpayer funded distribution throughout the country, the task of removing these millions of unvetted migrants will be nigh to impossible.

Inflation and Debt Overwhelming Families and Retirement

Cost burdens to support those largely unemployable migrants — many who don’t speak English or appreciate American laws and culture — will add countless billions to national, state, and local expenditures for housing, child education and medical services.

And whereas a recent Harvard CAPS-Harris poll found that immigration topped all other voter concerns (35% of respondents), inflation ranked a close second with 32%.

Little wonder since that not-so "transient" 17% inflation since Biden took office that has increased the costs of food (20%), gasoline (52%), energy, (40%+) and home rent (16%) is currently costing a typical household more than $11,000 annually.

After all, wasn’t "Bidenomics" offering generous government-knows-best taxpayer subsidies to "green energy" and electric vehicles supposed to alleviate such expenses that weigh heaviest on the poorest among us while also saving the planet from millions of years of climate change?

Before applying this same "modern monetary theory" to spend your way out of credit card debt, consider that it’s not working out very well regarding our escalating national debt where interest costs have nearly doubled over the past three years from $345 billion to $659 billion to become the fourth-largest government cost behind only Social Security, Medicare, and defense.

Guaranteed Equal Justice Under Constitutional Law

Remember the eye-bleeding double standard optics of an early morning armed FBI raid on the private home of former president Trump seeking authorized classified documents with scant interest in those warranting no such leniency found in Joe Biden’s unsecured garage next to his classic Corvette, in his residence, and in a Penn Biden Center closet, a think tank previously headed by his CEO , now Secretary of State, Antony Blinken?

Also, contemplate a very different media reaction if a Trump family member received the loving IRS sweetheart deal that offered Hunter immunity from jail time after allowing the statute of limitations to expire on tax charges involving profits on millions of dollars from foreign sources when his "pops" was vice president.

Remarkably, all this duplicity accompanied with two impeachment charades plus numerous lawfare attempts seeking to keep Trump off the campaign trail, muzzle, and possibly bankrupt him have only energized his supporters.

Now add recent purported evidence that Trump’s federal and regional prosecutors may have also been coordinating with Biden White House officials.

As reported by Breitbart. com, Atlanta prosecutor Fani Willis met with Vice President Kamala Harris before indicting Trump on racketeering charges, and according to The New York Times report of Jan. 11, 2024, her lead attorney on the case, Nathan Wade, conferenced with the White House Counsel’s Office on May 23, 2022.

All this underscores extreme far-left desperation efforts to replace fair selection of leadership by a constitutional democratic republic with a decidedly undemocratic banana republic.

Some may notice that in the foregoing I haven’t mentioned international security issues such the Afghanistan withdrawal debacle that abandoned about $8 billion in advanced armaments and the ultra-strategic Bagram air base, or looming global conflicts that are ensuing over the future of Ukraine, the Mideast, and Taiwan which very likely wouldn’t have existed under Trump.

Call me a "softy," but I compassionately didn’t want to worry and depress you that much in one column.
