As a majority of America prepares to celebrate President-elect Donald Trump's anticipated restoration of our nation's economy, border sovereignty, and true criminal justice, unrelenting lawless, partisan efforts to prevent his return have succeeded only in adding and confirming reasons warranting enormous relief and gratitude.
Trump has incessantly been targeted with banana republic tactics to make him ineligible to run again, bankrupt him and his campaign, smear him with bogus legal charges, and even incarcerate him and his key supporters.
Included are New York kangaroo court hearings presided over by a highly compromised judge that kept him off the campaign trail and stigmatized him as a "felon," based upon a contrived concoction of beefed-up misdemeanor bookkeeping claims following a statute of limitations lapse.
Transparent political litigation against Trump and ultimately exposed coverups of alleged Biden family corruption not only contributed to Trump's second-term election landslide but will also stain the Democratic Party's lawfare legacy as one not to be repeated by any self-proclaimed free and democratic society.
Weaponized FBI complicity began with Obama administration engineering of its Crossfire Hurricane investigation of the Trump campaign which continued into his presidency based upon unsupported "Russia collusion" allegations cooked up by the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign.
We have since learned that the scheme was hatched as a public distraction from the illegal retention and destruction of more than 30,000 emails on the private server of Trump's 2016 campaign rival, former Secretary of State Clinton, as was discussed in a White House meeting involving President Barack Obama, then-Vice President Joe Biden, CIA Director John Brennan, FBI Director James Comey, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and other high-level Democrat officials.
Recall also that throughout the 2020 election, the FBI along with 51 former high-level intel officials, disputed the authenticity of Biden family foreign influence peddling and other scandals discovered on Hunter Biden's "laptop from hell," falsely attributing it to likely "Russian disinformation."
The Trump lawfare assaults began in full fury with two failed impeachment trials: one for simply asking a new Ukraine president about Joe Biden's threat when he was vice president to withhold a billion dollars in aid unless the country fired the prosecutor of a corrupt energy company that was paying his son Hunter Biden a million-dollar annual salary as a no-show board member.
The other impeachment was a show trial disgrace charging Trump with "incitement of insurrection" involving Jan. 6, 2021, Capitol riots, which allowed no cross examination of witnesses and entirely omitted his statement: "I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."
An armed early morning August 2022 FBI raid on his private Mar-a-Lago residence for documents Trump says he was authorized to declassify somehow served as an indictment pretense, whereas those discovered at multiple Biden properties including his unsecure garage with no such legal privilege were somehow no big deal.
In any case, despite confirming that Joe Biden had illegally held secret documents dating back an appreciable length of time, with some of this information shared with a ghostwriter for his memoir, he wasn't charged with a crime.
Also compare this egregious attempted Trump takedown with whistleblower reports that the Justice Department, its Tax Division, and the Delaware U.S. Attorney's Office "provided preferential treatment and unchecked conflicts of interest" to Hunter Biden.
Included are allowing the statute of limitations to lapse on his 2014 and 2015 tax returns totaling $2.2 million owed while on the dole with Burisma, the corrupt Ukraine energy company, and ignoring a possible Foreign Agents Registration Act violation.
Then, following Hunter Biden's criminal conviction on illegal gun violations and tax evasion after a sweetheart deal that included only two misdemeanor tax charges fell apart, Joe Biden pardoned his son after repeatedly pledging not to do so.
Political shenanigans to remove Trump reached epic comedy through implosion of a Fulton County, Georgia, case brought forth by District Attorney Fani Willis, charging Trump and others, under the state's racketeering legislation (applied to organized crime figures), with attempting to steal some of that state's 2020 votes from Biden.
As it turns out, Willis now faces serious corruption allegations over evidence she paid her lover $650,000 as an unqualified special prosecutor in the case out of her office vault, some of which was spent on "romantic" vacations they spent together.
Last year, a three-judge federal appeals panel upheld a Manhattan jury verdict that put Trump on the hook for $5 million in damages on charges of sexually abusing E. Jean Carroll about 30 years earlier, although remarkably she couldn't remember the exact date or even the year.
Trum'’s 2024 Manhattan court conviction for paying "hush money" using questionable bookkeeping charges to bury reports of an alleged sexual encounter with porn actress Stormy Daniels two decades earlier was presided over by a judge whose daughter raises money for Democrat politicos.
Well-known George Washington Law School attorney Jonathan Turley called the case a "travesty," one "built on a dead misdemeanor barred with the passage of the statute of limitations." And former U.S. Attorney General William "Bill" Barr described the trial as "obviously political" and an "abomination."
Nevertheless, while a Trump guilty verdict scored Democrats the coveted scowling criminal mug shot and felon label they had long sought, it backfired in contributing to a stunningly historic reelection landslide legacy that now has much of the nation grinning from ear to ear.
