The time has come for the American people to take matters into their own legal hands and get down to business. I, among many concerned citizens (go to www.freedomwatchusa.org to view petitions to remove U.S. Special Counsel Robert Mueller and U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions and read comments of about 28, 000 persons and counting), are tired of watching Fox News, whose ratings are being boosted by the drum beat of optimistic reporting that some justice will finally be done by government law enforcement over the Clinton scandals, most recently Fusion GPS and Uranium One, not to mention the scores of other scandals of this Bonnie and Clyde of American politics over the years, and the Obama administration over the last decade. And, we are tired of the benign criticism — that is criticism for criticism sake — over the run-a-way special counsel investigation of Mueller and his uber leftist prosecutors!
The state of the nation cannot and should not be reduced into a cheap reality series that jingles the change for the media and furthers fundraising and reelection for politicians. Nor should this be furthered by public interest watchdogs that do little more than just obtain government documents, albeit well after the fact, that fuel media coverage, get their presidents on television, and boost their fundraising.
This uniquely Washington, D.C. cottage industry may be entertaining, but it only fuels the huge distrust of Americans that our so called government is corrupt to the core and that we cannot do anything about it.
Now it is time for the people to rise up, as we did in 1776, and wage a second American revolution. Short of a violent civil war between the left and the right, the citizens grand jury now appears to be our only alternative. At least it is worth a try. Iconic and now deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia ruled in a landmark case styled U.S. v. Williams, 112 S. Ct. 1735, 504 U.S. 36, 118 L. Ed. 2d 352(1992) that the grand jury belongs to We the People, not to the other three branches of the federal government. Indeed, in the "Old West" citizens empaneled grand juries, heard evidence, indicted, and people’s tribunals then tried, convicted, sentenced and punished wrongdoers.
In reality, there is nothing that prevents us from doing the same today, as the nation sinks further into a sea of corruption, where establishment elites like the Clintons, Obama, Mueller, James Comey, John Brennan and James Clapper, former Obama intelligence chiefs, walk off scot free into the sunset of a wealthy retirement.
Citizens grand juries are actually sanctioned in many states, and they work in conjunction with law enforcement. There is no reason why this cannot be "extended" to private action. And, once criminals are tried and convicted and then sentenced, in theory the citizenry could make citizens’ arrests and incarcerate those found guilty!
But this is not the choice of first resort. I am confident that the citizenry could find at least one federal or state judge who is willing to issue arrest warrants against convicted elite establishment criminals and indeed I have one in mind.
In short, Americans have to put aside the "entertaining news" and the titillation that it causes, and put up or shut up. Like our Founding Fathers confronted in the days leading up to their signing of the Declaration of Independence in my birthplace of Philadelphia, there comes a time when one must put word to deed.
