The American people — that is those who care about eliminating what now appears to any sane individual to be a dual system of justice — are not stupid. While predictions by Sean Hannity during last night’s show that the hammer is about to come down on Special Counsel Robert Mueller, his compromised leftist prosecutors, James Comey, Hillary and Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Loretta Lynch and others (who Sean claimed near sole credit for having ensnarled in supposed government criminal investigations), this is no time to drink the Fox host’s “Kool Aide” — designed to boost his viewership and Nielson ratings.
While one or even two lower level officials, such as former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe, may suffer some consequences for their allegedly nefarious actions — as a sacrificial lamb — this will likely be it, based upon past and present history about the way that the Washington, D.C., legal establishment works. To put it bluntly, you, the party that controls the Justice Department, must protect my back and we will do the same when we reclaim power in the executive branch.
In short, there is a “dishonorable gentlemen’s agreement” among the Washington D.C. establishments of both political parties that its “game” to go on Fox News or CNN as the case may be, boast of one’s so-called strong actions on behalf of justice, raise money, get reelected, or appointed to some higher government post, but then walk away from one’s oath of office and do nothing of substance.
To make my point with absolute clarity, when in the last decades of Republican and Democratic administrations have any of the nation’s elites been held legally accountable for anything! The simple answer is “nothing,” when it comes to our government’s law enforcement apparatus. It is geared to burn only the middle and low-hanging fruit.
Just ask Scooter Libby, who just recently was rightfully pardoned by President Trump, after having had to serve prison time. Perhaps not coincidentally, Libby, Vice President Dick Cheney’s chief of staff, was made the fall guy by another special counsel and colleague of Robert Mueller, Patrick Fitzgerald, to take the heat away from alleged crimes in the year's past Valerie Plame scandal by none other than Cheney and Bush-Cheney White House official Karl Rove. They merrily walked off “scot free,” in Cheney’s case into comfortable wealthy retirement and Rove to continue his “uber rich” lobbying and political consultancy practice at the end of the George W. Bush presidency.
So while I commend Sean Hannity for being supportive of President Trump, it’s important to remember that his predictions yesterday evening that he and his guests have triggered massive criminal investigations of Mueller, Comey, the Clintons and Obama, is more to feather his ego, and again, boost ratings on his show, than hard reality. In the proverbial words of esteemed Southern lawyers, perhaps with the exception of our inert Attorney General Jeff Beauregard Sessions, “that dog just won’t hunt!”
There is only one way that the nation will restore itself to equal justice under the law, as it was designed on July 4, 1776, in my birthplace of Philadelphia. In this regard, We the People must now take a page from the “Old West,” before there was any U.S. Department of Justice, and implement citizens’ grand juries, citizens’ trials, and legal citizens law enforcement. In this regard, our venerable and regrettably now deceased Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia ruled in the landmark case of United States v. Williams, 112 S. Ct. 1735, 504 U.S. 36, 118 L. Ed. 2d 352 (1992), that the grand jury under our Constitution does not belong to any of the three branches of government, but instead to We the People. As a result, the citizenry are empowered to empanel grand juries, indict, try, convict and mete out sentences for those accused of crimes.
A few years ago, I, as the prosecutor and a Florida lawyer, empaneled a citizens’ grand jury in Ocala, Florida, a very conservative area of the Sunshine State, picked the jurors randomly from voter rolls as is done by federal and state courts, and advised the accused, in this case Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama of the proceeding and offered to allow them to testify, and then presented evidence to the citizens grand jury when they did not appear. As a result they were indicted for alleged crimes concerning their manifest harm to national security over Iran which not coincidentally involved leaking classified information about our cyber-attack on Iranian nuclear reactors. This classified information was illegally leaked to bolster Obama’s and Clinton’s political fortunes.
A trial then ensued, presided over by a neutral judge picked from the Ocala community, and Clinton and Obama were convicted of crimes. At the time, we did not seek to enforce the convictions.
But times are different today! Now, with the alleged criminality of Special Counsel Mueller, who has been illegally leaking grand jury information concerning his so called Russian collusion investigation to fatally damage the president, his family, and colleagues and thus the country regardless of any later criminal charges and/or impeachment proceedings — which are apparently from what we now know unwarranted — times are different!
It’s time that We the People rise up, not be afraid — as our Founding Fathers were not scared to take bold action — to do what needs to be legally done to restore what was intended by them to be a new nation of equal justice for all. This time, Freedom Watch and I will again empanel grand juries, issue indictments, conduct neutral and unbiased trials before a petit jury, obtain convictions, and legally enforce the convictions by going to one of the few remaining patriotic and fearless federal judges (who I will not name here) to order that the offenders be arrested, sentenced, and then incarcerated as required by law.
Like our Founding Fathers who pledged their fortunes, honor and risked their lives to conceive of and found a free and just nation, We the People cannot be afraid! As the nation is literally drowning in a “dark sea” of this “stage 4 cancerous government corruption” by the “untouchable” establishment elites, the citizenry must again legally rise up to reclaim our heritage and our freedoms before the republic goes the way of ancient Rome!
