Biden Scandal More About the Dad Than It Is the Son

Now that mainstream media outlets are finally acknowledging the legitimacy of the Hunter Biden abandoned laptop computer story, they’ve pivoted their argument.

They’ve gone from, “the data retrieved amounts to Russian disinformation,” to: “you can’t blame the father for the sins of the son.” But they’re purposely ignoring the point.

Hunter Biden didn’t rake in tens of millions of dollars from foreign sources because he was an expert in the Eastern European gas industry or genius in Chinese securities. He was peddling the only asset he possessed — his father’s political influence.

Author and journalist Glenn Greenwald reported Wednesday that “Twitter founder Jack Dorsey apologized and admitted it was wrong for Twitter to have censored any mention of the [Hunter Biden laptop] story,” adding that “The [Washington] Post this week called for a media ‘reckoning’ over what they did.”

The following day NPR investigative correspondent Laura Sullivan responded, “Add @NPR to the list. Newsroom editors called it ‘not a real story.’ The ‘Hunter Biden laptop’ investigation may end up being a tax case, a hill of beans, or something else. But what it's always been is a story.”

But it’s far more than an act of media malpractice, a “hill of beans,” or a simple “tax case.” It’s an apparent ongoing case of political corruption reaching the very highest levels of government, and few media outlets are willing to pursue it on that basis.

The president has repeatedly told reporters that he was never involved in, or even aware of, his son Hunter’s business activities, and the mainstream press has accepted this at face value. However, that claim isn’t supported by the evidence.

The research arm of the Republican National Committee posted a lengthy thread Thursday that included public records, newspaper accounts, and emails taken from Hunter’s abandoned computer, all of which prove that Joe Biden had numerous meetings with people Hunter had had business deals with from Ukraine, China and Mexico.

Many of the meetings took place between Jan. 20, 2009 and Jan. 20, 2017, while Biden was serving as vice president, and at least one such meeting was held in the vice presidential office.

Another meeting took place in China when Hunter travelled there with his father on Air Force Two. Yet another was held in Mexico City — with Hunter’s associates in attendance, who flew with him and Joe Biden on Air Force Two

In addition to the mountain of documentary evidence, Tony Bobulinski, a former Hunter Biden business partner, repeatedly said that he met with Joe Biden twice for the purpose of discussing an upcoming business deal with communist China.

“I directly dealt with the Biden family, including Joe Biden,” he said.

Furthermore, Joe Biden financially profited from his son’s activities.

A joint venture between CEFC — a Chinese energy conglomerate involving Chinese President Xi Jinping and China’s military — and Hunter Biden in 2017 was designed on condition that “10 percent” of the profits would be “held by H [Hunter] for the big guy.”

Bobulinski went on the record to identify the “big guy” as Joe Biden.

Finally, a number of red flags have been raised over Joe Biden’s tax returns filed during the years between his stint as vice president and president. Specifically, they fail to adequately explain the source of millions in income he received during that interval.

Conservative radio host, author and political commentator Tammy Bruce commented Friday on what an amazing week it had been. She listed a string falling dominoes of the week as being:

  • A January 6 Capitol riot defendant was found not guilty after the judge ruled that walking through an open door wasn’t a crime.
  • The Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, D-Mich., “kidnapping” case was falling apart after two defendants were acquitted and the jury was deadlocked on another two.
  • Text messages uncovered by the Durham investigation revealed that Clinton lawyer Michael Sussman lied to the FBI.
  • Black Lives Matter was caught engaging in yet more financial shenanigans with donor funds, including the purchase of another California mansion.
  • The Missouri Supreme Court ordered St. Louis prosecutor Kim Gardner to release communications she’d had with financier George Soros, who reportedly bankrolled her campaign for office.

She concluded, “It takes time but fighting back is worth it.”

But the Big Kahuna, of course, is Joe Biden — the “big guy.”

Plainspoken Harry S. Truman, one of the last of the “good” Democrats to occupy the White House, was quoted as saying, “You can’t get rich in politics — unless you’re a crook.”

Biden, in all likelihood, may be the latest proof of that statement. The question remains, do legacy media outlets have the integrity and intestinal fortitude to actually investigate and report on it?
