Newsmax TV Taps JD Hayworth to Host News, Talk Show 'America's Forum'

Outspoken broadcaster and former U.S. Congressman J.D. Hayworth has officially been named as host of the daily news and conversation show "America's Forum" on the just-launched Newsmax TV.

The new show is one of the first programs on Newsmax TV as it ramps up with a soft start that will lead to a hard launch this fall.

Hayworth's "America's Forum," airing live weekdays 9 a.m. to noon Eastern Time with encore airings during the day, features the six-term House member from Arizona in conversation with newsmakers and analysts, discussing the latest news developments and the day's most pressing issues.

Throughout his career, Hayworth has demonstrated fearlessness in taking on controversial and often unpopular positions, and as a result has built up a loyal following. Hayworth first came to Washington in 1995 as part of the Contract with America that put Republicans back in control of the House for the first time in more than a half century. He went on to serve six terms representing Arizona's 5th Congressional District.

Hayworth is a smart, informed, and passionate host who is not afraid to speak his mind, and as a result we expect him to be one of our most watched and discussed personalities," Newsmax Media CEO Christopher Ruddy said in announcing Hayworth's appointment. Hayworth said he's been enjoying the experience of connecting with the audience on Newsmax.com. "And now I'm looking forward to engaging and serving our expanded viewing audience on Newsmax TV as well," he said.
