Judge Andrew Napolitano says the U.S. could kidnap any suspected killers of journalist Jamal Khashoggi and prosecute them in this country.

Napolitano, the judicial analyst for Fox News, made his comments on Thursday’s “Fox & Friends.”

“So, the murder of an American citizen, or a person lawfully resident in the United States, when the murder occurs in another country, it is a federal crime here,” Napolitano said.

“And in the Reagan administration when this happened, President (Ronald) Reagan dispatched agents — intelligence, as well as FBI — to kidnap an individual and bring him here.

“(The suspect) said to the judge, ‘Look, I was kidnapped.’ The judge said, ‘I don’t care how you got here. You’re here. Here’s an indictment. We’re gonna try the case. If you think these guys kidnapped you, sue them.’ So, it can happen.”

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has said the U.S. is awaiting the outcome of investigations by Saudi Arabia and Turkey into Khashoggi’s disappearance before deciding how the U.S. will respond.
