Judge Andrew Napolitano Thursday rejected the idea that special counsel Robert Mueller may be on the verge of wrapping up the investigation into Russian activities and President Donald Trump's campaign during the 2016 presidential election, saying more information is coming in all the time.

"Mueller keeps finding things," Napolitano, the chief legal analyst for Fox News, told "Fox and Friends," pointing out that just earlier this week, Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya, who was at a June 2016  meeting at Trump Tower, has been charged with obstructing justice in an unrelated case that U.S. prosecutors claim shows evidence of her ties to the Kremlin.

"Why did they indict the Russian lawyer?" said Napolitano, noting that the indictment came from New York, but was referred by Mueller.

Napolitano also commented on the changing reports concerning Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Initially, it was reported earlier this week that Rosenstein plans to leave the Department of Justice after Trump's nominee for attorney general, William Barr, is confirmed.

However, NBC News reported Wednesday Rosenstein will leave after Mueller wraps up most of his investigation, citing sources who said he plans to stay until early March.

Napolitano also commented on reports that Trump's attorney Rudy Giuliani said the president's legal team has informed Mueller that he will not answer any more questions about the probe.

"Rudy has two roles," said Napolitano. "One is to negotiate with Mueller; one is to establish a baseline with the public. Which Rudy were you listening to?"
