AOC Flees 'Libs of TikTok' Creator, Served Ethics Complaint

By    |   Thursday, 30 March 2023 04:56 PM EDT

"Libs of TikTok" influencer Chaya Raichik approached Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., on Capitol Hill last week in an effort to serve her an ethics complaint.

"You're actually super transphobic, and I never want to share a space with you," AOC told Raichik in a video shared to Twitter on Thursday.

Raichik's Libs of TikTok social media accounts, which show videos of progressives and liberals making unusual statements, is fast becoming a champion of conservative values and exposing liberal hypocrisy.

Raichik's brief interaction with AOC was filmed by a Heritage Foundation camera. She was seeking to ask AOC about alleged lies during a congressional hearing and intending to serve her with an official congressional ethics complaint for lying about an American citizen in Congress.

"BREAKING: I served @AOC with an ethics complaint after she lied about me in a committee hearing," she posted to Twitter on Thursday. "AOC wasn't in her office, but then I bumped into her as I was leaving the Capitol! Watch what happens."

Mike Howell of The Heritage Foundation's Oversight Project accompanied Raichik. The complaint filed by Heritage accused AOC of "defaming" during a Feb. 8 hearing of the House Oversight and Accountability Committee, according to the New York Post.

AOC alleged Raichik lied that the Boston Children's Hospital was "now offering 'gender-affirming hysterectomies for young girls,'" according to the report.

"Are you aware," AOC asked a Twitter employee, "that from Aug. 11 to Aug. 16 that account posted false information about Boston Children's Hospital claiming that they were providing hysterectomies to children?

"And are you aware that this lie was then circulated by other prominent far-right influencers?"

The nine-page ethics complaint alleges AOC of "knowingly and intentionally defaming Chaya Raichik, creator of the viral Libs of TikTok account, falsely accusing her of lying and disseminating disinformation."

AOC did not respond to Raichik or the Post regarding the complaint.

Raichik is a real estate agent in Brooklyn, New York, and has more than a million Twitter followers by sharing TikTok videos.
