President Donald Trump's approval rating has hit 48 percent, with more than half disapproving of his job performance in the latest poll from Rasmussen Reports.
Rasmussen's daily Presidential Tracking Poll of likely U.S. voters shows Trump's approval rising:
- 48 percent approve of Trump's performance; 51 percent disapprove.
- 36 percent strongly approve of Trump; 42 percent strongly disapprove.
- 45 percent approved of Trump on Monday, Feb. 4, 2019.
A CNN poll released Monday shows Trump's approval rating at 40 percent, the lowest besides Ronald Reagan for a president just before their third State of the Union address, which Trump is set to deliver Tuesday night.
RealClearPolitics shows Trump's average approval rating stands at 41.1 percent, with 55.5 percent disapproving. Rasmussen is the only poll from the past two weeks that has Trump at least at 45 percent approval.
Rasmussen polls 500 likely voters per night and tracks voters on a three-day rolling average basis. A full sample includes 1,500 likely voters and has a margin of error of 2.5 percentage points.
