Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., is once again America's most popular senator, according to Morning Consult polling.
It marks the 11th consecutive quarter Sanders has come out on top in the polling.
Here are the top senators and their approval ratings in their home states:
- Sanders – 64 percent approval and 28 percent disapproval.
- Sen. Patrick Leah, D-Vt. – 62 percent approval and 23 percent disapproval.
- Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo. – 62 percent approval and 26 percent disapproval.
- Sen. John Thune, R-S.D. – 59 percent approval and 27 percent disapproval.
- Sen. Brian Schatz, D-Hawaii – 58 percent approval and 23 percent disapproval.
Here are how the least popular senators break down and their approval ratings:
- Former Sen. Jeff Flake, R-Ariz. – 49 percent disapproval and 28 percent approval.
- Former Sen. Claire McCaskill, D-Mo. – 49 percent disapproval and 36 percent approval.
- Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, R-Ky. – 47 percent disapproval and 36 percent approval.
- Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J. – 45 percent disapproval and 33 percent approval.
- Former Sen. Dean Heller, R-Nev. – 45 percent disapproval and 35 percent approval.
The rankings are based on surveys of 416,853 registered voters conducted Oct. 1-Dec. 31, 2018. No margin of error was provided.
