More than 5,000 troops are already at the border to shore up America's defenses as several caravans of migrants make their way through Mexico, with the goal of entering the U.S. President Donald Trump ordered the Pentagon to send the troops to help U.S. Border Patrol agents.
The Pentagon is expected to have more than 7,000 troops at the border in the coming weeks.
