One of President Donald Trump's nominees for the federal judiciary, already under fire for being unqualified, failed to disclose that his wife is a White House lawyer, The New York Times reported.

Brett Talley, who has never tried a case and received a "not qualified" rating from the American Bar Association, is married to Ann Donaldson, the chief of staff to White House counsel Don McGahn, the Times reports.

But Talley did not disclose that on his questionnaire for judicial nominees under the section titled "potential conflicts of interest."

The White House said Donaldson was not involved in her husband's selection process, the Times reports.

Talley is the fourth judicial nominee to receive a "not qualified" rating from the ABA; the group had issued just two such ratings twice since 1989, the Times reports.
