A TV ad promoting the upcoming fight between two of Mexico's most decorated boxers depicts the pair busting through a concrete wall — President Donald Trump's border wall, The New York Times first reported.

Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. are headlining a monster bout Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas, and both were used to make a political statement to promote the fight.

Watch the ad that's running on two pay-per-view channels.

"The idea of a wall was a direct hit to Donald Trump," promoter and former boxing great Oscar De La Hoya told the Times.

"This is letting him know that not every Mexican is what he's stated they are. Mexicans are hard workers," De La Hoya told the Times.
