CBS anchor John Dickerson of "Face the Nation" will co-host "CBS This Morning" following the ousting of Charlie Rose over allegations of sexual misconduct, The Huffington Post reports.
Variety and Deadline also report that Dickerson is expected to be named to the weekday news program, though CBS News has yet to issue an official statement. The show is currently hosted by Norah O’Donnell and Gayle King.
The network cut ties with Rose in November, after The Washington Post reported that multiple women have accused Rose of inappropriate behavior, including lewd phone calls and groping.
Politico Magazine editor-in-chief Blake Hounshell tweeted on Tuesday:
The Washington Post’ White House Bureau Chief added:
Dickerson has worked for CBS since 2009, initially as a political analyst before becoming political director in 2011, and succeeding Bob Schieffer on "Face the Nation" in 2015.
