President Donald Trump's lawyer sent a letter Wednesday night to Stephen Bannon demanding he stop making "disparaging" comments about the president and his family, ABC News reported.

"You [Bannon] have breached the agreement by, among other things, communicating with author Michael Wolff about Mr. Trump, his family members, and the [the campaign], disclosing confidential information to Mr. Wolff, and making disparaging statements and in some cases outright defamatory statements to Mr. Wolff about Mr. Trump, his family members," the letter from Trump lawyer Charles Harder stated, ABC News reported.

The lawyer's letter also warns "remedies for your breach of the agreement include but are not limited to monetary damages."

No dollar amount is disclosed, the news outlet reported.

According to ABC News, Trump had all campaign staff sign a non-disclosure agreement requiring they refrain from any disparaging comments against the then-candidate, his family or the Trump campaign or organization.

The letter comes in the wake of reports about Bannon's unflattering remarks about Trump's eldest son as well as the president himself and the administration in a forthcoming book by Michael Wolff, "Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House."
