Repression, poverty, pollution, and now frequent power outages — all of those elements add up to the happiest place on earth! Or at least, that’s what North Korea seems to be telling its people.
The Chosun Central Television revealed its Global Happiness Index, a list of countries ranked on the contentment of those who live there, and China came out on top with 100 points out of a possible 100, reports
Business Insider.
North Korea itself came in second, followed by Cuba, Iran, and Venezuela.
On the other side of the DMZ, South Korea could manage only 18 points on Pyongyang’s happiness scale, putting it in 152nd place.
But that is nothing compared with the misery suffered in the United States — or “The American Empire,” as the stony-faced TV reporter referred to The Land of the Free. The United States came in dead last, with just three points.
