Costa Rica to Receive Asian Migrants Deported From US

Costa Rica will receive 200 migrants deported from the United States, beginning with a commercial flight arriving Wednesday, the Central American country's presidential office said in a statement Monday.

The migrants are from central Asia and India and will later move on to their countries of origin, the statement said, adding that the deportations to Costa Rica are funded by the U.S. and carried out with the supervision of the International Organization for Migration.
