This year’s Conservative Political Action Conference in National Harbor, Maryland will include six different panels discussing “the coup” against President Donald Trump, Mediaite reports.
CPAC’s official agenda for Thursday, Feb. 27 features six panel discussions with “the coup” in the title, including: “The Coup on The Republican: A Prelude,” featuring John Batchelor, which is “the first of six parts,” according to the notice. Reps. Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, and Mark Meadows, R-N.C., will speak at “The Coup: The Day After Tomorrow,” moderated by Matt Schlapp of the American Conservative Union.
The other “coup” panels on Thursday are “The Coup: Rosenstein & Comey – The Empire Strikes Back” with Rep. Doug Collins, R-Ga., and National Review’s Andy McCarthy, moderated by Fox News contributor Sara Carter; “The Coup: Impeachment – Hyped Slimes and Nancy’s Schemer” with Rep. John Ratcliffe, R-Texas, and The Washington Times’ Charlie Hurt, moderated by Daily Caller editor Vince Coglianese.
On Friday, Dan Bongino and Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., will meet for “The Coup: SpyGate,” and on Saturday Rep. Jody Hice, R-Ga., radio host Chris Plante and Breitbart News’ Matt Boyle are featured in the final “coup” panel: “The Coup: A Witch Hunt Begins – Hillary’s Ukrainian Insurance Policy.”
Trump has repeatedly characterized the investigations into his campaign and conduct in office, and specifically his recent impeachment, as a “coup” by Democrats to take power.
“As I learn more and more each day, I am coming to the conclusion that what is taking place is not an impeachment, it is a COUP,” he tweeted last October.
