First-time voters registered as Democrats could prove to be a key voting bloc in Tuesday's midterm elections, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay told Newsmax TV.
During a Monday night appearance on "Newsmax Now," the Texas Republican said one group of voters is giving him pause as he awaits what will happen on Election Day.
"The Democrats have done an incredible job registering voters and . . . the ones that are worrying me right now are those that have been registered and have never voted," DeLay said. "Those numbers are extremely high, but I don't know which way they're voting."

As for younger voters, on the other hand, DeLay does not see them having a major impact on the election results.
"The young people, the millennials, from what I've seen over the last few days, they're voting around 6 percent of who's voting — so I don't think they're gonna make much of a difference," DeLay said.
Democrats need to flip at least two Senate seats to take the majority in that chamber. In the House, the party must earn a net gain of at least 24 seats in order to win back leadership duties there.
