President-elect Donald Trump said Thursday that meeting with the victims and first responders of last week's terror attack at Ohio State University was "a great honor."

"We just saw the victims and the families — these were really brave people, amazing people," Trump told reporters after the meeting on the university's campus, CNN reports. "The police and first responders were incredible.

"The job done in particular by one young gentleman was incredible," Trump added, apparently referring to OSU police officer Alan Horujko, who fatally shot the attacker, Abdul Razak Ali Artan.

Artan, 18, a Somali immigrant, first rammed a campus crowd with his car in the Nov. 29 attack before jumping out with a butcher's knife and stabbing 11 people.

"I got to meet him, and he is very brave," Trump said, apparently of Horujko.

"The families have done so well to come through this so well," the president-elect added. "A lot of respect."
