In a 2005 conversation recorded on a hot microphone, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump talked about kissing, groping and trying to have sex with women, according to a video obtained by The Washington Post.
Trump was talking with Billy Bush of "Access Hollywood" on a bus en route to the set of "Days of Our Lives," where the nominee was to tape a segment about an upcoming cameo on the program.
The tape appears to have been recorded on Sept. 16, 2005, the day news reports said that Trump would be taping his appearance, the Post reports.
It was apparently made several months after Trump married his third wife, Melania.
At one point, Trump discusses an attempt to seduce a woman, whose full name is not disclosed.
"I moved on her and I failed," Trump is heard saying. "I'll admit it."
"Whoa," another voice said.
"I did try and ---- her," Trump said. "She was married.
"And I moved on her very heavily," he continued. "In fact, I took her out furniture shopping. She wanted to get some furniture.
"I said, 'I'll show you where they have some nice furniture.'"
"I moved on her like a bitch, but I couldn't get there," Trump continued. "And she was married."
A spokeswoman for NBC Universal, which produces and distributes "Access Hollywood," declined to comment to the Post.
"This was locker-room banter, a private conversation that took place many years ago," Trump said in a statement. "Bill Clinton has said far worse to me on the golf course — not even close.
"I apologize if anyone was offended."
