President Donald Trump's approval rating has gone largely unchanged this month, despite making deals with Democrats to provide hurricane relief funds and to raise the debt ceiling, according to a new poll from Zogby Analytics.
- 43 percent approve
- 53 percent disapprove
This marks a slight dip from his August numbers, as tracked by Zogby.
- 45 percent approve
- 51 percent disapprove
"The president will now hit the road and pitch his tax reform package to the public on a blistering 13 city tour," Zogby writes. "Will there be more successes for Trump? It's hard to tell because of the unpredictability of his presidency so far, but this is a step in the right direction. The big take away from this poll is that since reaching lows in popularity with his base in the last few months, Trump has regained support from some of his main base groups, but not all of them."
The poll also shows that the majority of women still disapprove of Trump, while more men approve of the president than disapprove of him.
- 37 percent of women approve
- 58 percent of women disapprove
- 50 percent of men approve
- • 47 percent of men disapprove
While most millennial voters, those age 18-29 according to the poll, disapprove of Trump, his approval rating from this demographic has risen since Zogby's May survey. His support among voters aged 50 and over remains unchanged.
Zogby polled 834 likely voters in the U.S., with a margin of error of 3.4 percentage points.
