A top Facebook official who oversees the social network's trending feature is one of at least 78 company employees who've donated money to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign,
The Hill reports.
Tom Stocky, who leads a team that edits the feature at the top right-hand corner of Facebook's home page, donated $2,700 to Hillary for America. His donation was revealed as The Hill reported Facebook employees have kicked in more than $114,000 to Democratic front-runner's war chest.
Facebook has been under fire this week after a report claimed the social media platform blacklisted Newsmax and other conservative news outlets on its Trending Topics section.
In a
Facebook post, Stocky says the company has "found no evidence" the allegations are true.
"Facebook does not allow or advise our reviewers to systematically discriminate against sources of any ideological origin and we've designed our tools to make that technically not feasible," he wrote.
