Rev. Franklin Graham has urged Christians "to get involved in government" and "in politics" and speak out about the future of the country even their political opponents will attack them for doing so,

In a speech last week in Oklahoma, Graham said that because "gays and lesbians are in politics" along with "all the anti-God people," Christians have no choice but to enter the political fray.
Graham further exhorted Christians to speak out even though their enemies will "mock you" and "turn their back on you."
"There is a price to be paid," Graham said, adding that the "only hope" for America is to "repent of its sins" and turn back to "the God of our Fathers."
"I’m here to tell you, church, God loves each and every one and Christ died for our sins, and we’ve got a responsibility to take this message to the ends of the Earth," Graham said in the Jan. 26 speech to the
Oklahoma State Evangelism Conference. "And I want to encourage you to take a stand in your communities."
Graham – head of the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association founded by his father – said Christians needed to follow God. But he warned them to have no illusions about the fact that "there is a price to be paid" for doing so.
Graham said that "if you accept Christ, there are people that will mock you. There are other people when you go to school or go to work, they'll go: 'Oh, you're one of those Bible-thumpers now.' "
Christians need to brace themselves for the reality that people are "going to mock you and they're going to turn their back on you," he declared. "They'll be neighbors that may have been your friends that are not going to be your friends anymore."
If Christians were unwilling to pay the price, Graham warned, then they should not put their faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
He warned Christians not to put their faith in any political party.
"The only hope is that this country repents of its sins and turns once again to the God of our fathers," he said.
