The Rev. Franklin Graham is looking for more volunteers to help in recovery efforts in those areas hit hardest by Hurricane Michael.
Graham, who heads the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and the humanitarian group, Samaritan’s Purse, made an appeal during an appearance on television’s “Fox & Friends.”
“Well, first of all we’re set up in Albany, George and we’re just right outside of Mexico Beach, (Florida) with our teams,” he said. “We need volunteers right now. We need any army of volunteers willing to come and work and help people clean up their lots, look for possessions that have been lost, cut trees off roofs. A lot of things volunteers can do.”
And he added: “We always need financial help, as well. It is expensive when you report to these areas. We’ll be working today.”
He estimated teams will be in the area for at least a year helping in recover efforts.
At least 12 people were killed in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Virginia from the storm.
