Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg got a playful — and adoring— rap video salute from the cast of “Saturday Night Live” in the wake of a hospitalization last week.
During the Saturday night show, cast members Pete Davidson and Chris Redd released “RBG Rap” featuring Kate McKinnon reprising her role as the 85-year-old Ginsburg, the leader of the court’s liberal wing.
“Live Ginsburg, and I ride for Ginsburg,” Davidson and Redd rap.
“You know there’s only like one lady holding the whole damn thing together right? You think some broken ribs are going to keep her down?” they ask.
Ginsburg was hospitalized for three broken ribs she suffered in a fall, and has been working at home.
The rap plays up the Brooklyn-born jurist's long career and popularity with millennials as well as her occasional clashes with President Donald Trump.
The jurist has “been killin’ it since ’33,” the rap asks, along with: “Who else got six movies about them that’s still living?”
