Poll: Majority Don't Approve of Graham-Cassidy Healthcare Bill

Fifty-two percent of Americans disapprove of the Graham-Cassidy healthcare bill, while only 20 percent back the proposed legislation, a new CBS News poll reveals.

Here are highlights from the survey released Monday:

  • 46 percent of Republicans approve of the bill sponsored by Sens. Bill Cassidy, R-La., and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C.
  • 2 percent of Democrats say they back the proposed legislation
  • 18 percent of independents support the bill
  • 42 percent of all those polled believed Republicans were moving too fast trying to approve the Graham-Cassidy bill

The poll, conducted Sept. 21 to 24, sampled 1,202 adults.
