Sen. Lindsey Graham Monday was optimistic about Republicans winning in Tuesday's midterm elections, but at the same time, he's still fighting mad over the controversy surrounding the confirmation hearings for Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
"I think we're going to kick butt in the Senate, and the House is too close to call," the South Carolina Republican told Fox News' "Fox and Friends," adding that the past 30 days have been a "nightmare" for Democrats running in states that voted for President Donald Trump in 2016 because of the economy, Kavanaugh, and the news about a migrant caravan heading for the U.S. border.
"I just said enough is enough," Graham said about Kavanaugh. "I voted for both of their nominees, (Sonia) Sotomayor and (Elena) Kagan...what you did is you basically took the rule of law, turned it upside down, you tried to destroy a good man in Brett Kavanaugh. You want power too much, and I'm fighting back. I didn't do this to your nominees."
Further, said Graham, Democrats will do "anything to win" because they don't want to accept the fact that President Donald Trump won the White House.
"We've got to keep the Senate and grow our majority to get these judges on the court," said Graham. "I think we're going to have a hell of a night in the Senate. And I think the House is going to surprise a lot of people."
