Former United States Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley, who resigned from the Trump administration over the winter, is apparently planning to stump for her old boss amid questions about her allegiance to President Donald Trump and Vice President Mike Pence.

According to Axios, Haley will be a "special guest" at an October fundraising retreat for the Trump-Pence campaign in New York.

The Oct. 4-6 event put on by the Trump Victory Committee will feature Haley, Donald Trump Jr., Kimberly Guilfoyle, and Sen. Cory Gardner, R-Colo.

Haley's participation at the event indicates she supports the Trump-Pence campaign for re-election in 2020. The 47-year-old resigned at the end of last year and has since made a handful of critical comments about Trump, including one after he called attention to a break-in at the home of Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-Md.

"This is so unnecessary," she tweeted in response to Trump.

After Haley's departure from the Trump administration, there was talk that she could be lining herself up for a presidential run in 2020, a race that would not include Trump, but those rumors have dissipated. Another recent story, however, indicated she could be positioning herself for a 2024 presidential run.
