Hillary Clinton responded to the report by the House Select Committee on Benghazi by saying no one has "lost more sleep" over the events that took the lives of four Americans and that "it's time to move on,"
CNN reports.
Clinton made her remarks from the stump in Colorado.
"No one has thought more about or lost more sleep over the lives that we lost, the four Americans, which was devastating," Clinton said. "And we owe it to those brave Americans to make sure we learn the right lessons from this tragedy."
Clinton said that after spending $7 million of taxpayer money to unearth nothing that contradicts earlier reports and findings, she wants nothing more to do with the findings of GOP-led committee.
"While this unfortunately took on a partisan tinge, I want us to stay focused on what I've always wanted us to stay focused on and that is the important work of diplomacy and development," Clinton said. "So I'll leave it to others to characterize this report, but I think it's pretty clear, it's time to move on."
